Created in 1957, the Stara Zagora Zoo has a picturesque location within the Ayazmoto Park, on an area of 240 000 sq. m. The zoo is a home of more than 450 animals of 80 species – mammals, birds and amphibious.
The reconstruction aims to improve the living conditions of the animals so that both the Bulgarian regulatory requirements and the European standards for animal breeding are adhered to. The project will also improve the aesthetic quality and overall attractiveness of the zoo to its visitors.
