The project is to build a crematorium in Plovdiv on the „Rogoshko road“ boulevard. According to the plan, the capacity of the crematorium will be 1500-2000 cremations per year.The private property on which will be built the crematorium is 8.5 acres, currently in process of changing its purpose as it is an agricultural land.
According to the initiators of the project it only costs 275 leva burning the remains, excluding the amount in the urn, coffin and transport to the capital.
The reason this has not happened yet is a lack of willingness on the part of investors.
