The project provides reconstruction of the kids’s pavilion so that three of the pediatric wards in hospital and the pediatric ICU can be relocated in more functional and adequate environment. This will improve the service in the pediatric segment and it will open new opportunities for new practices in the hospital. In addition the relocation will free more beds because the opening of the new pediatric ward will separate the flow of patients into adults and kids. Moreover there will be an increase in the turnover of clinical pathways. Furthermore there will be 10% increase in the capacity of the pediatric segment in the hospital. The idea for creating new pediatric wards exists since 2012.
